Joe, Kenny, and I have been playing some Halo 3 lately. It’s kind of fun.
One of the neat things about Halo 3 and Xbox Live is that I can take pictures and videos of our in game mishaps. Well, at least pictures – not sure about videos. You only seem to be able to play the videos on the Xbox 360 itself. But I took some pictures last night of a particular thing that I thought was quite amusing.
There are vehicles in the game, which you can use to do something boring like shoot people, or you can do the fun thing like Kenny and I like to do, which is run people over. Yesterday, we were playing a game, and I managed to run over one guy, who caused me to fly up in the air and “accidentally” land on one of his teammates. It was very rewarding. Pictures after the break!
Setting the scene – I was roving around the map in my little hover-scooter, known as the Ghost to losers. To the three ass-banditos of UtopiaJoe, JohnKellySD, and hrrf, it’s known as the love boat. It’s exciting and new! The thing about Halo 3 is that after you… terminate someone, they usually respawn on the opposite part of the map. Kenny and Joe had cleaned up some guys, so I go off to investigate where I think they’ll be spawning, and sure enough (click image for full version):

Aha! You can see the two guys charging and shooting me. Our first indication that these guys weren’t very good was that their avatars were named after famous authors. I quickly smoosh the first one:

Then a funny thing happens – when I smoosh this guy, he causes the love boat to jump a little bit, at which I’m flying through the air and have no real control over where I’m going:

But clearly, you can see what is going to happen:

Smoosh! So I jumped off his friend and onto his head. You’ve got to figure that this was pretty embarrassing to them. I found it highly amusing. Here I am victoriously hovering and making pirate noises (sorry, you can’t hear those) over the second guy’s virtually owned dead body:

If other funny stuff ends up happening, I might take pictures of it. Some funny things do happen – I wish I was smart enough to figure out how I could show video of it.
