I don’t remember – was Twelve Monkeys any good? This article made me think of it.
Accompanying the attacks is increasingly tough talk from activists such as Dr. Jerry Vlasak, a spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front press office. In an interview with The Associated Press, he said he is not encouraging anyone to commit murder, but “if you had to hurt somebody or intimidate them or kill them, it would be morally justifiable.”
Emphasis mine. So here’s my take on this – there’s a nonzero probability that Dr. Jerry Vlasak is alive because of advances provided from animal testing . Put that aside – I have something better, or at least more confusing.
Humans are animals. A lion is an animal. A lion will kill another animal to survive or improve its life (territory, food). As human animals, we’re surviving and interested in further survival. So if Dr. Jerry Vlasak thinks it is acceptable to kill human animals for the sake of animal animals, with humans being animals, isn’t it ok to kill animal animals for human survival? Animal.
